How to install Vermeer Sky Tool
When purchasing any of our Vermeer Skyscan Multipacks, together with it you will also receive the Vermeer Sky Tool to help you effortlessly manage a big collection of Skyscans and create a realistic light setup with a single click. Here are the steps to install it:
01 – Move the ‘Vermeer_Sky_***-beta.mse’ file in your 3DsMax scripts startup folder in the 3DsMax install path.
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 20**\scripts\Startup\
Make sure to use this instead of your user folder, as latter tends to cause issues!
03 – To access the Vermeer Sky Tool, go to ‘Customize UI’ and add a custom button to your toolbar (you can find it in the ‘Vermeer by Stableworks’ category)
04 – In case this is the first time you install Vermeer Sky and you don’t have a previous library location defined, select “Cancel” and pick your first Vermeer Skyscan zip file to import to the library (select the downloaded ZIP file and it will be unpacked automatically).
Otherwise select “No” and specify the correct Vermeer Sky library folder.
05 – In the popup window select one of the downloaded Vermeer Skyscan zip files to start the import (select the downloaded ZIP file and it will be unpacked automatically).
Later when you want to import other HDRI packages to the tool, in 3DsMax in the Vermeer Sky UI hit the “Get More” button and select the downloaded zip file.
